New Look for 2013

1/06/2013

The year 2012 has been a year of major transformation for me, not only emotionally and psychologically, but most importantly, physically. Yes, I have been doing drastic changes to my hair, transforming it every now and then. If only my hair can complain, then it must have walked out of me already. I'm just thankful it didn't.

Before I'm going to show you my new look for 2013, let me take you out on a walk down memory lane on the different hairstyles I sported during the year 2102.

January 2012: Long Straight Hair with Uneven Color
March 2012: finally got a digital perm on my 25th birthday
May 2012: Curls got loosened up a bit. Ends have gone dry - one disadvantage of a digital perm.
August 2012: Got rid of the dried ends and had my hair cut short again.
It was also in the month of December that I had to let go of my digital permed hair after 10 months of having a love-hate relationship. I know some of you want to have those curly seductive wavy hair. It's really pretty but I tell you, if you have straight hair, better stick to it. Digital permed hair is difficult and expensive to maintain as ends tend to get really dry as time goes by and the products in the market are very limited. Also, you have to stick with a single style with curly hair every now and then when you can always achieve variations with straight hair. But then, your style will always be up to you - just listen to your heart and follow what it tells you.

So after listening to my heart, I again, opted for another change - a new look to imbibe a new me for 2013.

December 2012: Back to straight and short hair (Milk rebond with Cellophane)
I would like to thank Shiloh Andrea Beauty Salon (SABS) for helping me achieve the look I wanted for 2013. It's a newly-opened salon which is located just near my workplace in  Mintal (at the back of Mintal Gym) so if you're situated there, better check out this salon for your salon needs.  The staff were very accommodating that they even extended their service hours until I'm done. I had my hair rebonded on a Friday after 5pm and the process ended up until 10pm. Just be sure to set an appointment with them if you're going to go their after working hours. Also, during the process of rebodning, I didn't become bored even for a bit because of their fast wifi connection that I didn't even notice that I was there for almost 4 hours. Not to mention, they also gave me a welcome drink and free dinner. Now that's what you call excellent service at an affordable price!

Shiloh Andrea Beauty Salon (SABS) also offers the following services:
Milk Rebond
Hair Color
Foot Spa
Manicure and Pedicure

  3. I love your new look! It suits you very well, very pretty :) I'd love to try them out (esp with all the perks) but Mintal is too far away from where i live. But yes, I do agree with you. I thought about having perm but thankfully didn't push through with it because I figured I'd have more styling options with a straight hair :)

  5. Color of the year on the first picture! Cool. :) I've always wanted to try digital perm for my hair. I know it's going to damage my hair and all but I just want to know how it feels like! Then I'll just have it cut into a pixie if I get tired of it. :)

    1. Give it a try if you really want it! That's what I'm also thinking when I got decided to try it, that maybe if I'm getting tired of it, I just have to cut it short... exactly what I did right now!

  9. Same here, 2012 was also a year of changes and damaged hair for me. Haha. I have this bad habit of changing hair color and perming my hair every now and then. After reading your blog, now I'm thinking of cutting it short too. :)
