Relaxing Place to Stay in Quezon City: Microtel By Wyndham Acropolis

If there's one place in Metro Manila that I have not yet fully explored, it's probably Quezon City. I've been coming to and from this place and true indeed, the perplexity of this part of the metro makes me think twice about exploring. But when I was faced with the idea of attending my cousin's wedding in Quezon City, I immediately dropped all my second thoughts and mustered all the courage I could get to explore this area.
Looking for a hotel in the busy area of Quezon City isn't actually that difficult as there are a lot of accommodations in the area, but finding one that's reliable, secured and worth more than the money you're paying for is a different story.
While looking for possible places to stay, I was glad I came across Microtel by Wyndham in Acropolis, Quezon City. Conveniently located across the Eastwood City, where corporate centers and leisure establishments are found, this four-story facility has 84 rooms, classified into either a Queen Double Room or a Queen Suite. Aside from that, Microtel Acropolis also has function rooms and meeting facilities to accommodate the usual corporate needs and events.
Whether you're hitting the metro for business or for an urban escapade, Microtel Acropolis provides you with the basic amenities such as a chiropractor-approved queen size beds, exclusively found in all Microtel Hotels, thus assuring you of a very comfortable sleep. I was actually planning to go out and explore more of the nearby Eastwood City but the fluffy bed and pillows were sending out an invitation to stay which I wasn't able to resist.
The clean and spacious room was made more relaxing and comfortable with an individually controlled air-conditioning system, a 32" inch LED Cable TV and a mini-refrigerator. I don't have to worry about security issues since every room comes with an electronic keycard entry system and a safety deposit box to secure my valuables.
Aside from the basic amenities, Microtel Acropolis stepped up from the usual in terms of providing their guests with free drinking water as water dispensers are visible in every floors, thus making it more convenient to their guests.

The toilet and bath was impeccably clean and spacious and toiletries for two are provided. In addition to that, a hair dryer, which I truly need all the time, is readily available, which lessens the hassle of bringing one during travels or requesting one from the front desk, which I had experienced with other hotels.
Business travelers surely get the pleasure of working with the ample space provided for a working desk and fast internet connection. Although a bit spotty at times, WIFI connection is considerably reliable even inside the rooms.
I wasn't assigned to a room with the city view but I guess it's a blessing in disguise since traffic noise was more tolerable in my room and I woke up revitalized with this view.
I truly appreciate how Microtel hotels give utmost consideration to safety as emergency signs are highly conspicuous in most areas. Not only that, room guides are also equipped with emergency procedures. I also noticed that most signs are translated in Braille which makes this hotel stood out in terms of being considerate to persons with visual disabilities.
Microtel Acropolis offers a complimentary buffet breakfast which is hosted by the hotel's affiliate restaurant, Tito Chef. Their breakfast selection may not be as extensive as the one offered by Millie's Restaurant in Microtel UP Technohub but I found it just right and delicious enough to satisfy my gastronomic needs.
If comfort, security, basic amenities, excellent customer service, accessible location and value for money are what I'm looking for whenever I'm checking out a place to stay, then I could definitely say that Microtel by Wyndham in Acropolis fits the bill. Whatever your purpose of staying may be, Microtel Acropolis delivers a world-class service worth more than what you paid for.
